Here Comes When is likely to go off favourite for the one mile contest as he bids to continue on his upward curve for Andrew Balding, who won this race with Balducci in 2010.

The Curragh hosts the Irish 2000 Guineas on Saturday afternoon, the first of this year's Classics in Ireland. As you'd come to expect, Aiden O'Brien trains the favourite Magician who also holds an entry in next weekend's English Derby. The Ballydoyle Maestro has trained five of the last ten renewals of the Irish 2000 Guineas and four of the last five. The likes of Rock Of Gibraltar, Henrythenavigator, Mastercraftsmen and Power have all won this race for O'Brien and he saddles four of Saturday's ten strong field as he bids for a hat-trick of wins in the race.

Pearl Secret is a notable absentee from Saturday's Temple Stakes at Haydock after a dirty scope and that has left Sole Power as a marginal favourite for the five furlong sprint. Sole Power won this Group Two race two years ago before being touched off by Bated Breath in a thrilling renewal last year and Ed Lynam's gelding looks a worthy favourite when bidding to regain his crown this weekend.
