Serena Williams looks set to go off a red hot favourite for the 2013 Ladies Wimbledon Championships, which get underway on Monday. Williams has been in sensational form during the last 12 months and she is undoubtedly the one to beat as she bids to successfully defend the title she won in 2012, with Maria Sharapova and Victoria Azarenka leading the challenge against the world number one.

The penultimate race from the fourth day of Royal Ascot is the Group 3 Queen's Vase, a race for three year old stayers over two miles. Eighteen runners are set to go to post for what looks like being a straight shoot-out between Leading Light and Disclaimer at the head of the betting. The race was won last year by the Queen owned Estimate trained by Sir Michael Stoute who takes her chance in the Gold Cup on Thursday. The highlight of the fourth day at Royal Ascot is the Group 1 Coronation Stakes, a one mile contest for fillies and part of the British Champions Series. Notable recent winners include Attraction in 2004 for Mark Johnston, The Jim Bolger trained Lush Lashes and Ghanaati trained by Barry Hills. There have been five winning favourites of this race in the last ten runnings and the biggest priced winner during that period was the 12/1 chance Fallen For You who took the race twelve months ago for John Gosden.
